Designed in collaboration with theQapp, your SproutBox has been thoughtfully designed with hands-on, screen-free activities inspired by the symbols and values of Ramadan - moons and stars, light and reflection, kindness, patience, generosity, and togetherness.
Each activity invites children to actively participate in the meaning of Ramadan, helping them understand it as a month of giving, sharing, and connection, not just celebration
The activity cards guide you step by step, with a clear list of materials, simple instructions, gentle conversation prompts, and a short “What They’re Learning” note based on our 7 pillars of child development.
You can scan the QR code anytime to return to this guide - whether you’re looking for extra inspiration, safety tips, time guidance, or ideas to extend play.

This guide supports both the Standard and Premium boxes, so simply follow along with the activities included in your box and enjoy them at your own pace.
Your SproutBox is not meant to be completed all at once.
Many families choose to:
Spread activities across the month
Repeat favourite activities
Reuse materials after Ramadan
Revisit the box again at Eid
The intention is slow, meaningful play.
Set the Scene
Choose a calm, comfortable space - perhaps after iftar, before bedtime, or during a quiet afternoon. Keep the area uncluttered so the activity feels peaceful and unrushed.
Keep It Gentle
Ramadan is a slower month. Follow your child’s lead, adapt activities to their energy level, and remember that calm connection matters more than perfection.
Be Present
Sit alongside your child and enjoy the moment together. Ask gentle questions, share stories, and model kindness, curiosity, and reflection as you play.
Make Tidy-Up Part of the Ritual
Invite your child to help pack things away together - perhaps before prayer time or as part of your evening routine. Keeping things simple helps maintain a sense of calm.
Let Go of Expectations
Some days will be busy, others quiet. That’s okay. The value is in showing up, sharing time, and enjoying the process - not finishing everything.
Practice Patience
Allow your child time to explore, repeat, and discover. Ramadan is about patience and intention - celebrate small moments and small efforts.
Talk About It
Use the Discussion Ideas on each card to spark simple conversations about kindness, gratitude, helping others, and family traditions during Ramadan.
Adapt With Care
Each child experiences Ramadan differently. Simplify activities when needed, or gently extend them when your child is ready - always meeting them where they are.
Every activity supports your child’s development through our 7 SproutBox Learning Pillars:
Movement & Coordination – strengthening little hands and fingers
Sensory Exploration – discovering textures, smells, and reactions
Creativity & Imagination – expressing ideas through art and play
Thinking & Problem-Solving – testing, trying, and experimenting
Language & Communication – naming, describing, and storytelling
Social & Emotional Development – taking turns and showing kindness
Independence & Confidence – exploring and creating on their own
