January arrives with a strange mix of hope and exhaustion. There’s talk of fresh starts, new routines, back to school and getting back on track - but for many parents, January feels anything but energising. The winter holidays have passed. The adrenaline has worn off. And suddenly, everything feels loud, cluttered, and slightly overwhelming.

Many of us remember play as something simple. Children played. Adults watched. Sometimes we joined in. Sometimes we didn’t. Somewhere along the way, play became something else entirely - another thing to plan, prepare for, and get “right.”

In 2025, something shifted. SproutBox stopped being “a nice idea” and started becoming something families genuinely trust. Parents began telling us how SproutBox helped them feel less overwhelmed. Children opened boxes with excitement and confidence. Caregivers - parents, grandparents, nannies - all felt able to step into play without pressure or preparation.
